Post-doctoral position in the ERC Consolidator grant project “Welcoming immigrants in Central and Eastern Europe: lessons from Russia’s invasion of Ukraine” – University of Latvia

Requisitos: 

• A PhD degree in Social Sciences (particularly Sociology, Political Science, Communication Science, Economics, Psychology, International Relations) or Humanities (particularly History, but also Philosophy, Cultural studies), obtained or expected to be awarded by December 31. 2025. 
• Convincing publication record in peer-reviewed journals. • Robust theoretical and empirical research skills. 
• Scientific ambition and innovative thinking. 
• In-depth knowledge and experience in quantitative and/or qualitative social science methods 
• Fluency in both spoken and written English. • Fluency (native language level) of one of the following languages: Polish, Hungarian, Italian. 
• Adeptness at working independently as well as collaboratively. 
• A strong sense of responsibility for assigned tasks. 

Additional assets (not a must): 

• Experience in conducting survey experiments, working with experimental data sets. 
• Strong background in qualitative content analysis. 
• Familiarity with the latest AI tools for text analysis (e.g., sentiment analysis, frame analysis); 
• Knowledge of Ukrainian and/or Russian language. 
• Experience in conducting cross-national research. 
• Experience in conducting survey experiments, working with experimental data sets. 
• Strong background in qualitative content analysis. 
• Familiarity with the latest AI tools for text analysis (e.g., sentiment analysis, frame analysis); 
• Knowledge of Ukrainian and/or Russian language. 
• Experience in conducting cross-national research.
