Requisitos:

Applicants should have a Ph.D. in Sociology at the time of appointment. Excellence in teaching is the primary criteria for this position. We seek a candidate who has an established record as an outstanding instructor, and who possesses demonstrated experience in face-to-face classroom instruction, developing and delivering online courses, and curriculum development. The successful candidate should demonstrate the ability to conduct research and demonstrate currency in their discipline.

The successful candidate will have experience teaching a diverse student body, use innovative pedagogical approaches to creating engaging learning experiences for students and to assessing student learning, and will be proficient in using classroom technology and learning management systems (e.g., Canvas). They should also have a record of, or potential for, administration and service contributions to the university and community.

3. a statement of teaching philosophy that includes the applicant’s perspective on teaching a diverse student body; approach to student assessment; and teaching evaluations.
4. a minimum of 3 full course outlines in the areas identified above, and examples of new courses they could develop for our joint department.
5. a sample of written work (sole authored)
6. the names and contact details of three referees.
