Requisitos: 

• To be qualified for this position you must fulfill the following criteria.
•  A master’s degree or second degree in social sciences, preferably political science or economics. Candidates who are in the final stage of their master’s degree can apply and will be considered, but cannot be hired until they have completed the master’s degree.
•  Education corresponding to a five-year Norwegian degree program, where 120 credits are obtained at master’s level.
•  Solid methodological skills in causal analysis. 
• Special attention will be given to candidates’ documented aptitude for quantitative methods. A strong academic background from your previous studies and an average from the master degree program, or equivalent education, which is equal to grade of B or better in terms of NTNU’s grading scale. 
• Applicants with no letter grades from previous studies must have an equally good academic foundation. If you have a weaker grade background, you may be assessed if you can document that you are particularly suitable for a PhD education.
•  Good written and oral skills in English.
•  You must meet the requirements for admission to the faculty’s doctoral program.

Applicants must attach the following documents to their application within the closing date for applications:  

• A project proposal for the Ph.D. project (1,500 words maximum). The proposal should give an outline of the research questions and a methodological design for the Ph.D. project.  
• A short letter of motivation 
• CV and certificates  
• transcripts and diplomas for bachelor’s and master’s degrees. If you have not completed the master’s degree, you must submit a confirmation that the master’s thesis has been submitted. 
• A copy of the master’s thesis. If you recently have submitted your master’s thesis, you can attach a draft of the thesis. Documentation of a completed master’s degree must be presented before taking up the position. 
• Name and contact information of 2-3 referees 

Comentarios: 

As a PhD candidate (code 1017) you are normally paid from gross NOK 532 200 per annum before tax, depending on qualifications and seniority. From the salary, 2% is deducted as a contribution to the Norwegian Public Service Pension Fund. The period of employment is 4 years with 1 year (25%) teaching duties.
