Postdoctoral position combining computational and qualitative methods – Leipzig University (Germany)

Requisitos: 

• Completed or nearly completed doctorate in social sciences (sociology, political science, communication or media science) and/or data science (statistics, machine learning, natural language processing) 
• Master’s degree, preferably in a social science discipline
• Knowledge of qualitative social research methods
• Programming skills (preferably R, Python) and knowledge of common computational social science methods
• Very good spoken and written English
• Good knowledge of German or willingness to learn German
• We also welcome publications in international journals and initial teaching experience.

ABOUT THE POSITION

• Fixed term according to qualification planning (initially 4 years)
• 100% of a full-time employment
• Planned remuneration: salary group 13 TV-L.

DUTIES 

• Academic qualification (e.g. habilitation) 
• Contribution to innovative research that may be published in high-impact social science journals
• Teaching 4 semester hours per week (2 courses per semester) in qualitative methods and computational social science.
