Requisitos:

The requirements for appointment include a completed university degree, pedagogical aptitude, a special aptitude for scholarly work, which is generally demonstrated by the quality of a doctoral dissertation, and additional scholarly achievements 

The latter are demonstrated by a habilitation or equivalent scholarly achievements, which may also have been attained in a position outside of academia or within the framework of a W1 professorship.
