Requisitos

Specifically, the Department is seeking candidates with expertise in the study of social inequalities, and is especially interested in candidates with an ability to contribute to our specialization in Health Sociology and to complement existing expertise in intersectional, community driven research. Candidates should have a strong research program demonstrated by a track record of scholarly publications and external funding appropriate to career stage and a proven capacity for high quality teaching. This position will involve teaching at both the introductory and advanced levels and work with graduate and honours students. The successful applicant should anticipate teaching courses such as: Introduction to Sociology; Health, Illness and Healing; and Social Policy in Canada which, in addition to the Sociology program, support the Bachelor of Health and the Bachelor of Social Work. Experience teaching online is an asset. Candidates should have a Ph.D in Sociology or cognate discipline or be near completion. Candidates with a Ph.D. nearing completion will be considered for appointment as Lecturer.
