Full-time research position based in Sofia, Bulgaria (fixed-term employment contract): Research Fellow (Postdoc) in Sociology of Education and Work – ProSkills2Work

Requisitos:

1. PhD or equivalent in Sociology, Social Sciences, Educational Science, Political Science, Social Psychology, or Education Economics.
2. No more than five years of full-time equivalent research experience since earning the PhD.
This limit does not include periods of parental leave, long-term sick leave, or military service
3. No previous contractual links to the IPS at any point in time.
4. Languages: fluent English; Bulgarian – an asset but not a must.
5. Relocation to and on-site work in Sofia, Bulgaria.
6. Robust theoretical and empirical research skills. In-depth knowledge and experience in
quantitative and/or qualitative social science methods.
7. Topical knowledge in sociology of education and work. Focus on vocational education and
training and/or youth in Southeastern Europe is an asset.
8. Good knowledge of sociological theories of action.
9. Proven publication record in peer-reviewed journals. The incumbent is expected to regularly
publish in international peer-reviewed journals.
10. Readiness to fulfil academic tasks according to the ProSkills2Work Grant Agreement.
11. Adeptness at working independently as well as collaboratively. Efficiency in handling
deadlines, and managing competing research and project work responsibilities.
