Becas de la Fundación Heinrich Böll para estudiar en Alemania

The Heinrich Böll Foundation grants scholarships to graduates and doctoral students of all subjects and nationalities per year.

The scholarship recipients need to have excellent academic records, to be socially and politically engaged, and to have an active interest in the basic values of the foundation: ecology and sustainability, democracy and human rights, self determination and justice.

Focus groups:

• Graduate students: EU and international students who obtained their university entrance qualifications outside Germany and who have already completed a first degree may apply for a scholarship to cover a Master’s degree (successful completion of a Bachelor’s degree and German language skills (B2 or DSH II) are required).
• PhD students: The application for a PhD scholarship needs to include a detailed description of the research project and a valid timetable for completion. Preliminary work on the PhD research project must have been completed. The Master’s degree certificate or equivalent must be available at the time of application. German language skills (B2 or DSH II) are required.

Language requirements: written proof of German language proficiency (Minimum requirement: «Deutsche Sprachprüfung für den Hochschulzugang“ Level DSH 2 or «TestDaF“ Level B2) is needed.

Application deadline: March 1st and September 1st.

How to apply: only online. The application portal will be opened about 6 weeks before the application deadline.
