Requisitos:
- You hold a PhD in Cultural Studies, Cultural Anthropology, Cultural History, Linguistics and/or Literary Studies, Translation and/or Interpreting Studies, with a clear focus on Hispanic culture.
- You can demonstrate several years of postdoctoral experience (or equivalent).
- Your research qualities are in line with the faculty and university research policies.
- You have established an excellent research portfolio including international peer-reviewed scientific publications that unmistakably demonstrate your expertise in Hispanic culture.
- It is an asset if you have published on topics that relate aspects of Hispanic culture to translation and/or interpreting.
- You will teach in Spanish. Your writing and speaking skills are at the level of native speakers (European Framework of Reference C2) for Spanish.
- A good command of English is an asset (European Framework of Reference C1), as this will be the language for acquiring scholarships and project grants. It is also the language of instruction of the new BA elective course that you will teach if your written and spoken proficiency in Dutch is not at C1-level.
- A good command of Dutch is an asset.
- If you do not speak Dutch, the administrative language of the university, you should be willing to obtain a CEFR B2 level of proficiency in Dutch. As soon as you take on teaching duties as a programme component coordinator, you should be able to demonstrate a CEFR C1 level of proficiency in the language of instruction. The University of Antwerp supports international staff members through an integration trajectory and offers tailor-made language coaching in compliance with Flanders’ statutory language regulations.
- Your teaching competences are in line with the University of Antwerp’s educational vision.
- You are motivated to develop your teaching skills further through the professionalisation opportunities available.
