Requisitos: 

• A completed university degree [Diplom (univ.) or Master] in Political Science or a related discipline 
• A completed doctoral degree in Political Science with a specialization in International Relations or International Political Economy 
• Knowledge of foreign language in English with a proficiency level that corresponds at least to the language level C1 of the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages 

Furthermore desired: 

• Excellent knowledge of theories and methods of International Relations/International Political Economy 
• Research and publication experience in the field of International Relations/International Political Economy, as documented by peer-reviewed publications in English-language international journals or book publishers 
• Teaching experience in the field of International Relations/International Political Economy or in empirical research methods in the social sciences 
• Research experience related to China 
• Familiarity and experience with qualitative or quantitative methods 
• Experience in obtaining third-party or competitive funding (e.g. travel grants, stipends, or research funding) • The ability to work independently 
• A willingness to collaborate on joint research projects with other members of the Chair 
• To enjoy working in a team, be reliable, and exhibit a high level of commitment 
• Strong interest in scientific work and the ability to teach
