Requisitos:
Candidates should have a Ph.D. in Sociology or cognate discipline or be near completion. Exceptional candidates who meet our teaching needs and have at least completed a Master’s in Sociology, or a cognate discipline may be considered. Candidates who have not completed a Ph.D. will be considered for appointment as Lecturer. The successful candidate will be expected to teach six courses over the academic year at the undergraduate level. This position is to cover courses for sabbatical and research leaves. The discipline requires coverage of courses including: Introduction to Sociology (up to 4 sections) and Quantitative Methods in the Social Sciences which are expected to be assigned to the successful applicant. There is some flexibility in course assignment that could provide the opportunity for the successful candidate to design a course in their specific research area in the winter term. Specialization in areas related to Health, and/or Indigenous Studies is an asset. The teaching assignments will be determined in consultation with the discipline and the successful candidate.
