Requisitos:
Experience
- Evidence of emerging track-record of producing high quality research and publications (candidates should nominate what they regard as their highest quality publication in their CV or statement of application)
- Clear plans for further publications and demonstrable potential to achieve international excellence in research, including publications, external funding and impact, with a demonstrable link to one or more of the strategic research themes listed in the role description
- Experience of teaching Politics/IR or a closely related discipline at undergraduate level in a Higher Education Institution
Education, Qualifications and Training
- Applicants should have a PhD in Politics, International Relations or a related subject and a record of publications of international excellence.
Skills, General and Special
- Knowledge Excellent knowledge of political science, including the breadth of knowledge required to teach on one or more of our core modules, and the depth of knowledge to offer attractive optional modules in any sub-fields of Politics/IR.
- Comprehensive understanding of how to design and deliver undergraduate curricula, including the use of innovative approaches in teaching, learning and assessment.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to undertake administrative duties as part of an academic role
- Excellent verbal and oral communication and the ability to communicate academic work to a variety of audiences (e.g. students, fellow academics, practitioners, journalists, the general public, etc).
Personal Attributes and Circumstances
- Readiness to develop further an established research profile through publication, bidding for external research funding and presentations at national and international conferences
- Readiness to play an active role in maintaining and enhancing the research profile of the School
- Readiness to engage in academic-related activities linked to the University’s strategic objectives (including knowledge transfer, outreach, continuing professional development)
- Readiness to take on administrative responsibilities in the School.
