Requisitos

  • Some undergraduate or masters-level training in quantitative research methods, data science, or quantitative text analysis/NLP 
  • Preferably a political science, data science, and/ or computer science background. 
  • Arabic language skills are a plus but not required. 
  • Master’s level-degree in relevant subject area, with a minimum 2.1 grade (GPA 3.6). 
  • Some familiarity with Python and R and/or willingness to engage in training for both. 
  • Strong commitment to engaging in UCD’s SPIRe doctoral research training programme (either the PhD in Politics and International Relations or the PhD in Quantitative and Computational Social Science). 
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills. 
  • Excellent interpersonal and organisational skills, including working to tight deadlines. 
  • Strong commitment to working in an interdisciplinary/transdisciplinary research team.
  • Awareness of UCD’s equality, diversity and inclusion agenda.

Project: Quantitative text analysis in Arabic 

Post Duration: 4 years (48 months). 

Start date: 2nd May, 2024
