Requisitos:
PhD positions (ERC project, EU Agencies):
- Applicants must hold (or be near completing) a (research) master’s degree in political science, international relations, public administration/public policy, or EU studies with excellent grades.
- They have written (or are near completing) a master’s thesis.
- Applicants have extensive background knowledge of EU institutions and decision-making as demonstrated by a minor in EU studies, the completion of a bachelor or master thesis on the topic, or relevant work experience in the field.
- Applicants must have prior training in and a good command of qualitative methods (especially content analysis) and quantitative methods and have experience or an interest in working with experimental methods.
- Applicants are passionate about political science research and have a strong affiliation with the project theme.
- Applicants meet the English language requirements of the Graduate School of the Faculty of Social and Behavioural Sciences.
- A working understanding of other EU languages is an advantage.
PhD position in EU governance:

Solicitudes:
Applicants should submit online 1) a letter of interest (detailing their motivation to pursue a PhD and their interest in the project’s theme, maximum 2 pages long), 2) a CV, 3) transcripts of their university grades, and 4) a research-based writing sample (thesis, term paper, or article). Applicants should also include 5) the names and contact details of two people who can be contacted directly to submit recommendation letters, commenting on the candidate’s professional qualifications and suitability for the position. Please note that no reference letters have to be submitted at the application stage, but these will be requested for shortlisted candidates.
