Requisitos:

Applicants must have earned a PhD in Sociology by the time of the appointment or shortly thereafter. We seek enthusiastic and innovative candidates whose teaching interests complement and strengthen our existing departmental strengths (http://sociology.utoronto.ca/).

Candidates must have a demonstrable record of excellence in teaching at the undergraduate level in a degree granting program, including lecture preparation and delivery, curriculum development, and development of online material/lectures.

Additionally, candidates must demonstrate intellectual curiosity and a commitment to pursue novel and innovative methods of thinking and teaching, pedagogical enquiry, and teaching innovations. Administrative, organizational, and mentoring skills required to teach large introductory courses in Sociology, a record of teaching-related scholarship, and the background and communication skills necessary to work collaboratively with all members of the Department, are considered assets.
